·          Senior Groups are encouraged to book tours on Tuesdays (North Georgia Premium Outlets may offer a Senior shopping discount on Tuesdays – Please verify with the Outlet Mall Management).

Please note: There is limited availability on any day. Reservations are only “held” by our receipt of a contract signed by an authorized person representing the group, along with payment of the required deposit. Tour space is only “confirmed” by receipt of the final payment. KCC’s tour policy and contract will be enforced as written, no exceptions. KCC is not responsible for reminding Group Leaders of contract details, such as return of signed contract, deposit payment or final head count and payment.

Groups from 20-90 people (For groups of more than 90, please call to discuss details):  Group leaders will be provided with a copy of our 2008 Group Tour Policy/Rules via e-mail, fax, or mail, along with a reservation contract, which must be signed and returned with a $250.00 deposit within 7 calendar days of receipt. The deposit payment may be made by credit card, company check, certified bank check or money order, but a valid credit card number is required to be supplied at the same time. No later than 5 p.m. 28 calendar days (4 weeks) before the scheduled tour date, the final head count in writing and the payment of the final balance of the group tour fee is required. It may be paid by credit card, a company check, certified bank check or money order, but if the final balance is not received by the due date, it will be charged to the credit card number supplied. For reservations made 28 calendar days (4 weeks) or less before the scheduled tour date, payment in full will be required at time of booking using a valid credit card. Personal checks will be accepted for payments if made greater than 28 calendar days before the scheduled tour date; if any personal or company check is returned for insufficient funds, the outstanding tour fee balance will be charged to the credit card supplied at the time of booking, along with a bank fee of $50.00 per refused check. The attending group leader’s name and cell phone number is required to be given to KCC at the due date of the final balance. If this changes, we must be notified immediately.  Groups arriving on their tour date with more people than allotted in the exact head count will not be guaranteed space, nor will any refunds be given if groups show up with less than the exact head count given in writing the 28th day preceding the tour date. For groups scheduling multiple tours on same or different days, there is a $250.00 deposit per tour. Changes to the signed contract, including to the tour date and time, will result in a $25.00 processing fee charged to the credit card on file, per change.

Group Tour Rules: Kangaroo Conservation Center reserves the right to verify the age of any child.  Tour payments must be made with a single payment for deposit and a single payment for the final amount due (see payment rules above). When making reservations, group leader must report in writing on the Group Contract any physical or mental conditions of group participants requiring special attention. KCC reserves the right to refuse admission to any person not meeting our minimum age requirement or whose physical or mental condition could create a hazard to himself/herself, other visitors, KCC staff or the animal collection. At arrival to KCC, all Group participants must remain on their bus until a KCC staff member boards to talk with the group. Unless specifically contracted so, Group tour participants do not have exclusive rights to the KCC tour/facility on the date of their tour.

Cancellation policy: Cancellations made no later than 5 p.m. Eastern Time 28 calendar days (4 weeks) or more before the scheduled tour date will be refunded any final deposits made, providing the payment has been physically received and documented by Kangaroo Conservation Center, minus the initial $250.00 deposit.  Cancellations made after 5 p.m. Eastern Time 28 calendar days prior to the reserved tour date, and no-shows, will receive no refunds. If there is a balance due, the credit card given at time of booking will be charged. Group cancellations have to be made in writing by fax or email.  Phone cancellations will not be accepted for group bookings. If the tour is cancelled 28 calendar days or more before the scheduled tour, then a group reservation may be transferred to another date (subject to availability) to prevent loss of the $250.00 deposit.  This is a one-time offer.  In the event of severe weather creating safety issues or other emergencies, the Center reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a tour. If, for any reason, it is necessary for KCC staff to cancel a tour completely, any tour payments already received will be fully refunded.

Tax ExemptionIf a group claims tax-exempt status, a copy of the tax-exempt certificate must be supplied in writing (via fax or e-mail) to KCC, within 24 hours of the initial request for a tour date. No tour contract will be written until the certificate is received by KCC. No tax refunds will be allowed after the contract is signed.

ARRIVAL TIME

Arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of your tour; this will allow time for restroom use, etc. Late arrivals can result in your group missing part(s) of the tour. Tour times are scheduled on U.S. Eastern Time; please remember this if you are arriving from a different time zone. There is no refund for arriving late, leaving a tour early, or for missed parts of the tour. Please follow the directions from our website www.kangaroocenter.com or call our office at 706-265-6100 for specific directions from your site.

Please DO NOT rely on directions from other sources.

ACTIVITY LEVEL:

Visitors must be mobile to fully participate in all aspects of the tour. Participants should be able to walk 1/4-mile minimum. To fully view all exhibits, walking one mile plus is required, as the terrain is hilly and some paths are mulched/unpaved. Any tour participants requiring special care/needs must be noted on the tour contract, and such participants are required to sign a liability waiver. The KangaRanger truck can accommodate one wheelchair per tour with advanced notice. Participants using wheelchairs, walkers, canes and or needing assistance in walking/moving or with other special health needs must be accompanied by an able person from within their group who will assist them as needed at all times on KCC property.

RAIN/WEATHER POLICY:

The Tour will be held regardless of weather, excepting severe weather. In the event of inclement weather, KCC staff reserve the right to cancel a tour at any time.  Please note that weather can be unpredictable, but generally it will be warm in the summer and cool in early spring and fall. This is an outdoor adventure; please keep this in mind when making reservations for your particular group, and advise all tour participants to dress appropriately. Visitors should wear sturdy enclosed walking shoes. Umbrellas are not allowed on the tour truck for safety reasons.

EDUCATORS, CHAPERONES, GUEST BEHAVIOR

We require one chaperone for every twelve students.  Students of all ages must be accompanied by a chaperone at all times.  Chaperones and Educators are responsible for the conduct of the students.  KCC staff reserve the right to ask anyone who is disorderly in any group to leave the property.  If this occurs, refunds will not be given.  If damage, theft, physical harm, and/or death occurs to any KCC visitor/ physical property/animals/staff members resulting from action of any participants in a group, the legal representative of that group will be held responsible for legal and financial renumeration.  We do not allow running, loud noises/yelling, horseplay, littering, or feeding of animals at our Center.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO

Visitors are encouraged to bring photo and video cameras to the center.  All photography/videography is allowed as long as it will not be used for commercial purposes. Disposable cameras are available for sale in the Aussie Outpost. By entering KCC property, all visitors agree to the use of their image/vehicle/personal property for any purposes deemed suitable by KCC in the use of advertising the Center.

“AUSSIE OUTPOST” (Giftshop)

We offer a wide variety of unique souvenirs and Australian gift items. For school groups, we normally suggest that children bring $20 with them for the “Aussie Outpost.”  This will allow enough to buy our most demanded gift items, such as a boomerang or a medium sized plush animal.  If funds are limited, we also offer gift items below $10. We are required to add sales tax. Please visit our online store to see a variety of items offered with their prices shown, excluding sales tax (www.kangaroocenter.com).  To offer the best shopping experience we ask that all students be accompanied in the Aussie Outpost by a chaperone.  We suggest that no more than 20 students are in the Aussie Outpost shopping at one time.  After each student makes a purchase, we ask that they exit the Aussie Outpost.  If time does not permit a visit in our “Aussie Outpost,” please contact us about prepaid gift kits for each of your students.  These can be offered to each child when they leave the facility.

DEPARTURE TIME

Generally our guided tours last approximately 70-90 minutes, however you should plan on spending 2 to 3 hours total at our center to fully enjoy all our exhibits.  You are welcome to stay longer than the recommended 2 to 3 hours.  Also, if you plan on having a picnic lunch at our facility, please allot enough extra time so that it will not interfere with the tour and experiences available at our Center.  We do offer a selection of snacks (including ice cream, soft pretzels, fresh popcorn, cookies, drinks) in our “Aussie Outpost.” If you wish to have a meal catered (such as box lunches), this needs to be arranged at the time of your initial tour booking. Payments, for options such as box lunches, will be due and payable at the same date as the final head count and final balance due date.

The accompanying group reservation contract must be signed and dated by a legal authorized representative of the group, indicating acceptance of and agreement with all terms of this 2008 KCC Tour Group Policy/Rules. This document is current and binding.

Thank you for choosing to visit Kangaroo Conservation Center.

We know you will enjoy “America’s Aussie Adventure.”

Kangaroo Conservation Center reserves the right to cancel a tour, at any time, for any reason. In the case of inclement weather or an internal reason at KCC, the tour is eligible to be rescheduled one time to a different date during that tour season without a transference fee, or the tour fee will be refunded. If the tour is cancelled because the group does not make payments as scheduled or does not follow the tour contract protocols, KCC is not liable to make any refunds for payments already made and is not required to reschedule the tour. Kangaroo Conservation Center and any of its owners, officers, employees, agents, licensees, or representatives are not responsible for any and all liability for injuries, death or for the loss of or damage to property, however occurring at our facility. Visitors are expected to take all prudent precautions, as at any public facility.
